Ransomware is kind of like a virus; annoying software that encrypts your files and demands that you pay to recover them.
As experts in data encryption, we sometimes get contracted to recover decrypted files.
In September 2019 our company computers were infected with the .seto virus / ransomware. Although easy to detect, and fairly easy to remove, recovering the encrypted files was not trivial, but we cracked it.
