What is SaaS?

Software As A Service (SaaS) is the term used to describe software that is hosted on a server connected to the Internet. This allows users of the software access at anytime from any Internet enabled device. The software is maintained, managed and licensed by the operator / owner of the software. SaaS is great for collaborative working, distance workers and home workers as it allows multiple users to access the software at the same time and work collaboratively on projects.
